During the 2005 season, YT (Young's
Tackle) has had 2 Long Range fishing Charters in addition
to our local overnighters and two-day charters. Both of
the Long Range charters have been with the Independence
boat out of Point Loma Sportfishing, San Diego. This
year's ten day has been very successful and thus we will
be having another 5-day and another 10-day out of YT next
year. Sign up before the spots gets filled. Pictures of
the Ten-day 2005 will be posted soon. (*warning: for

Captain's Report on YT's 10-Day 2005
11-13-2005 - Hello everyone, yesterday we returned
from our Young's Tackle 10-day trip with an outstanding
catch of yellowfin tuna up to 280lbs.... The total was 35
over 200 lbs. with another 85 fish in the 135 to 199 lb.
range. Jackpot winners were as follows: Bob Carter with a
285.3 yellowfin tuna, Ron Volmer with a 273.1 yellowfin
tuna and Mike Mushinskie with a 271.0 yellowfin tuna. All
the guys on the trip did a great job of putting these
tough fish on board. We are now on our Clarence Becker
charter and are headed south in good weather with a very
good load of sardines and mackerel. We have just finished
our extensive tackle talk on fishing for and landing big
tuna. Clarence is now doing a raffle with give away items
from Darrall Primrose of Ballyhoo in Santa Ana. B & F Rod
and Reel in Ontario and Avet Reels in Chatsworth. We would
like to express our Gratitude to all the Sponsors for the
great gear our anglers will now put to use on the trip.
